The series of events at Poetry Now @ dlr Book Festival concludes with a celebration of one of Wales's most famous poets Dylan Thomas.

A panel of Welsh and Irish writers will discuss the man, his poetry and his legacy. The panel includes Menna Elfyn, Nessa O'Mahony and Nerys Williams. The discussion will be chaired by Siobhán Parkinson, whose PhD is on the poetry of Dylan Thomas.

'Into the Current', new work by Yvonne Cullivan

Into the Current, an new work by Yvonne Cullivan, will be launched on Culture Night at the recently opened Civic Centre, Belturbet, Cavan.

Into the Current consists of eight short films produced by the artist Yvonne Cullivan following a period of research with residents and specialists from the Belturbet area. Drawing on aspects of local historical and contemporary culture and grounded in the fabric of the landscape, these films blur the lines between fact and fiction, reality and imagination.

The launch will include a reading by poet Tom Conaty of Field Notes, a poem written in response to the poem.

In the Current will remain open to the public until 5th October.
